Court Security

One  of the main duties of the deputies assigned to the Court Security  Division, is to maintain order during all criminal and civil proceedings  held within the courthouse, while also providing for safety and  protection of the visitors who have business at the courthouse on a  daily basis.


The Greensville County  Courthouse is staffed by three full-time and two part-time sworn  deputies, The duties of personnel assigned to the courthouse include,  but are not limited to, searching all individuals entering the  courthouse for weapons and other items which are classified as  contraband. Provide a safe and orderly environment to the facilities and  grounds of the courthouse. Protect the integrity of the Court. Maintain  the decorum of the Court and deter those who would take disruptive or  violent action against the Court and/or its participants.


The  deputies also utilize security cameras and alarms located throughout  the building which are also monitored at all times by the deputies.
